funny little joke

so Amber showed me this joke she found online last night. She found it while looking for ways to order Coopers. It's a funny little joke. I laughed anyway and she found it at this site:

http://www.cooperspubs.com/pubs_world.htm

Enjoy:

The presidents of Budweiser, Corona, Heineken and Coopers were all attending a beer makers conference and after the days proceedings wound up in the hotel bar.

The President of Budweiser steps up to the bar and says to the bartender "I'll have the finest beer in the world, give me a Budweiser." So the bartender gives him a Budweiser.

After that the President of Corona steps up and says "I'll have the finest beer in the world, give me a Corona" which the bartender does.

Next the President of Heineken steps up and says "I'll have the finest beer in the world, give me a Heineken."

Lastly the President of Coopers steps up to the bar and asks the bartender for a Coke! To which the bartender replies, "Sir, surely you would want a Coopers Sparkling Ale?" The President of Coopers replies "No that's OK if the others aren't going to have a beer then neither will I."

--granted I love Corona, it's still pretty funny cuz I think I love Coopers more... there's more flavor to it. anyway that's all. laugh and be merry.

thoughts on...

new favortie athlete: Shaun White (the kid kicked ass in the half pipe at age 19!)

most exciting news heard today: Jill, who works with my mommy ( i used to work with her too) is getting married to Dan (a guy that works at the same place) So cool. They're really nice people.

thoughts on valentines day: Really not that bad of a holiday. Although Hallmark has put it all out of whack and kind of defeats the whole purpose behind it, I must say that I really like this holiday because it gives my mum a reason to send me candy in the mail! so fuck all the bitching about the holiday... i got candy and I'm damn happy about that! Moms are SO COOL. Oh and doesn't really matter about not having someone on valentines day! PSshh! that's what friends are for, and I have them all around. w00t love between friends!

new favorite song at the moment: No Direction, Bad Religion. I'm just overly in love with the band. also am in love with Thirsty Merc at the moment. I am SO glad Jess made me that cd before I left Australia. they are super fun to listen to.

best part of yesterday: just sitting/laying and listening to Missy Higgins with Krista. Taking the time to listen to the lyrics and the music. so peaceful. there's nothing like taking in some great music and not doing homework or running around the house or something while listening to it.

scary part of the week: first counseling exam coming up! freak out! I don't want to do poorly! I LOVE that class and the professor! It's such a good class with such good people! eek!

scariest part about life right now: finding a senior paper topic. SHIT! I have ideas, but whether they can pan out is another thing. Plus I am such a wuss and need to get some balls and feel comfortable about talking to my professors about this stuff. Although I will congratulate myself on actually asking my Tests and Measures professor for help on the stats stuff we have been doing in class! go me! But still I need to gain the confidence to talk to my advisor about how I am terrified about this senior paper thing! It's just weighing me down... but with the advice from Melissa 'you only have to get a C and you'll be fine'. True and it is only one effin' credit, but I don't want it to suck!

constantly on my mind: Australia and my friends and really who are we kidding, but a certain friend a little more often than others! :-P (just being honest, i can't think of everyone in the same way)

latest impulse buy: ok so I don't have one, but I really really want to buy Mirrormask! it comes to dvd today!

going where the air is clear....

i wish I was going to where the air is clear! AH!

so today February 9th is a special day... One year ago today i left for Adelaide, Australia.
Thoughts about this trip keep running through my mind over and over...

I know this girl Sarah from Grinell who plays frisbee that is headed over to Adelaide. She probably already left, but yeah...so jealous!

I can see the sites and the people again. Adelaide is such a pretty city.. i loved it!
Seriously I can remember it all. The first people I met from my program. The first time i remember seeing Bec. The first time Amber, Dave and I tried to find our way back to our rooms only to have Haggis? show us the way. Living in Roche for a few days. The walks around the city, Rundle Mall and the uni campus. My first sausage sizzles, and seeing Will for the first time, and to be greated by a big hug from him, saying 'come play frisbee!' and 'here i'll show you around Rundle mall'. OH the beginnings... i could go on forever.

My journey began one year ago today and I wish I was going back. But I am not. i must finish out the year at Luther college...sigh... i miss it!

Oh and one year ago on the 11th is when I actually arrived in Adelaide... (might as well say that now and save posting about that.)

look what I can do!

Hey Welcome my LAST semester at Luther College! w00t!
Classes so far seem pretty cool. Three Psych courses, a soc course and my senior paper! The psych courses are great, sooooo excited for them! The Soc course... i dunno. I'm not really enthused but...meh. Senior paper... here's hoping i can get it together! Rather I have to get it together! I wish I could write about a billion different things! Eek! Better get it together.

First weekend back... has been SO good! We had such a fun night Friday night. Baker was FULL of parties! Us, our neighbors and some guys up the hill! We hit all of them and it was great. SO NICE TO DRINK BEER AGAIN! I spent so much of j term just drinking sweet drinks that having a mostly ALL beer night was great! my love to the Corona! I had the joy of showing people a neat trick i learned from Fiona and that would be getting a beer bottle to stick on the wall in the corner. People were AMAZED! I felt sooo cool. I kept putting them in all the corners I could find. I ran out of good corners and well i got a little too drunk to actually be able to get them to stick. But one is still stuck which makes me super happy. check it...

Yeah that was fun. Anyway... what else?

Ever have that ever growing thought of whether something is worth it or not? This has been comiling in my brain for awhile now...How do you determine if something is really worth it? Instant graticfication? with the lack of delayed rewards? I dunno. I think it is worth it. Maybe I hope too much.

oh and by the way...Vanilla Ben and Jerry's = so good ...and... The Narnia soundtrack also = so good!

i've got nothing else. Love!
